Parish Council

Register of Councillors' Interests

Councillors are required to register and update specific financial and other interests within 28 days of election or co-option to the council. The relevant interests include the name of their employer, land ownership, business interests in the parish, and membership and positions of management in other organisations such as charities, trade unions and political parties. The Localism Act requires that the members register of interest is published on the principal authorities website (LA 2012 c7 s29(5)(b)) and additionally if a parish council has its own website, the register of members interests must also be published on it (LA 2012 c7 s29(7)).

The Register of Councillor's interests for Escrick Parish Council is maintained and hosted by North Yorkshire Council here: https://edemocracy.northyorks.gov.uk/mgParishCouncilDetails.aspx?ID=1972&LS=4
