The Parsonage Country House Hotel is set in 6½ acres of landscaped gardens, yet only minutes from York City Centre.
Built in the early 1840's the building maintains many of its original features and has a rich history.
The hotel boasts an Award winning Restaurant, a beautiful Conservatory and elegant lounges with log fires throughout winter.
Choose from 46 individually designed bedrooms available in the Main House, Coachhouse, Cottage or The Lodge. All rooms are en-suite and 4 Poster Beds, superiors, Non smoking and Ground Floor rooms are available on request. All Main House bedrooms newly refurbished for 2004.

Authentic Thai food cooked the traditional way
The finest, authentic Thai cuisine prepared from the very best ingredients including fresh herbs, spices and exotic vegetables sent to us every week from growers in Thailand. The Sangthai menu is about choice, flavours, quality and presentation - a true taste of Thailand.
The traditional Thai food is certainly full-flavoured, soups sparkle with chilli and lemongrass and curries are rich with aromatic and spicy tastes. There is no bland compromised cooking here, but those with a less fiery palate shouldn't be put off as all dishes are cooked to order and so the heat can be turned down!
Warm and friendly Thai staff provide a typical Thai welcome to this beautiful country cottage restaurant. Our extensive grounds feature an oriental garden complete with bamboo furniture and a Thai-style pavilion for outdoor eating. Tropical plants and the sound of flowing water providing a tranquil setting for that special romantic dinner.
A visit to the Sangthai restaurant provides a complete Thai dining experience. However, our reputation for fine food and attentive service does create a demand for tables and so booking is recommended at all times but particularly at weekends.
